Today said he`s not worried about being on the bench. Hats off to the man for putting the team first.

He's a sound bloke, always level headed and keeps a good perspective on things although i get a feeling from him lately that he's very frustrated with the way things are and is struggling to keep a lid on things, could it be The tactics?.

I think he would prefer Stevie G playing behind him (ooh er) with proper wingers in the midfield, Owen needs good service to be able to score goals, the team is playing too narrow for the style Owen plays in.

I'd prefer it if Crouch was happier on the bench...

I'd be happier if Crouch was on a bench in Sefton park. Ericson's tactics do Owen no favours.

I think Crouch can go on the bench for the next game, we are through and don't need to beat Sweden. Much as though I love Michael Owen and the way he plays, he hasn't been firing at all in this tournament due to a lack of match fitness, tactics, mental strength, whatever and needs to play as much as possible to get his sharpness back. Rooney and Owen up front for me in the next game, if he is happy to sit on the bench then he may as well be sat on the sofa at home!

Maybe the bloke should be given some credit for being honest and not doing the ego trip/sulk/big-time/Craig Bellamy thing?

Owen is bad and should be on the bench, Crouch is playing much better then Owen at the moment and offers more to the team then Owen who can only do one thing, poach goals and he cant even do that at the moment.

yup, like that goal he poached against Argentina in his first world cup...

Owen is a team player and is privy to Sven's decisions. If Rooney comes off second half against Sweden, Owens fresh legs will give him a chance to get back into the scoring groove.
