well they won't be supporting Scotland, Wales or Ireland. Not that they ever did anyway, they are far more concerned with Englands progress than their own!

Supporting a bar somewhere I'd guess, drowning their sorrows at not qualifying again

Luckily I'm half English, half Welsh - so I support whoever suits me more.

During the rugby WC I supported Wales as they were playing tantalising rugby, but then switched to England when Wales were knocked out.

Aren't I lucky

Half English, Half Irish - support either one. When they play each other, I hope for a draw and that no-one gets killed

I'll support England - but I will avoid all the hype and tabloid ranting which really does get on my nerves.

I also usually support the underdogs - I was delighted with Australia's win today.

I've seen every game (between contracts) and have no affiliation to any team - just like good football. The Czechs and Holland have played the best so far, with the Aussies looking the best equipped to cope with the heat.

It seems to me that England and France have similar problems - both countries have a plethora of supremely talented individuals, but somehow seem to struggle to acieve their potential. I doubt any of the current Scotland/Wales/N Ireland players would be picked for either squad (obviously if they were eligible!) yet both teams just can't seem to 'click'. Maybe Mr. McLaren will bring a new approach?
