Looked impressive, yet as yesterday proved totally useless when the sun is out.

To many shadows on the pitch confused the playing surface, and thus I had to squint my eyes whilst watching it.

Also the big daft Ice Hockey American scoreboard just had to perform an interception at some point.

Is it a case of design over function?, in this case I very much think so. Somebody who wasn't a football fan was allowed to go mad with their designing, and albeit from an engineering point of view it is very impressive, overall the 'design' is not football suited - its probably more 'sports' related, if you catch my drift.

4 sided screen & scoreboard.

Why they need it in a footy stadium is beyond me, although Paul Robinson tried his best to take it out

Seems the stadium was also used for the ill-fated attempt of Europe to have an American Football league during the late 90's.

Also I think the roof is an addition to the original stadium design, and the scoreboard thing maybe reflects the other sports performed in the arena.

Just not good for long sunny days commonly found in the middle of summer, oh round about the same time as the World Cup....doh!
