Me, disillusined fool that I am, Is somehow convinced it will be our year.So much so, I will help myself to some of the 15/2 odds on us winning it tomorrow.
IMO, there seems to have been a dip in European football over the past few seasons, the likes of AC/Juve/Real,etc and other than this season Barca, where the English clubs with their top few English players have had their measure (Chelsea semi's/L'Pool winners/Arse R/up)
I can potentially see us not even meeting Brazil.Have a sneaking suspicion that they will get knocked out before we get to play them. They could have a tricky tie, maybe meeting Italy or the Chzecs........
Can't wait now. A month of quality football beckons........

Sorry, but as an outsider, I've never understood how you guys build yourselves up so much when you get let down every time. England won't win. Brazil is the easy bet but my money is on Argentina as an outside-ish bet, I have them at 10-1.
Cheeky! Lack a bit of firepower but qualified well and are always solid.
Both Brazil and Argentina whilst strong upfront have pretty weak defense. On the other side, would you bet against a defensive combo of any of Terry / Campbell / Ferdinand?
If we are ever going to win it this is the year, but there's always some foreign git ready to cheat and knock in a penalty and send a nation to it's knees.
