Has anybody got any cheap options for a prescription mask?

About 50 quid would be the limit.

When I needed one, many years ago, I went to a local dive shop and they ordered one in for me. I don’t recall it being expensive.

Replying to suggest other things, given you didn't specifically exclude them.

Would goggles do? in which case they are quite cheap and simple to order https://www.speedo.com/goggles/prescription-goggle...

I suggest goggles as on a recent trip that involved a lot of snorkelling I just couldn't get on with the mask that I had bought. Having a beard and therefore moustache really does not help with the sealing and it drove me nuts until I just reverted to my goggles (I swim several times a week usually) and they were dramatically better. What I could really have done with then was a nose clip, although breathing through a snorkel was actually ok my nose "flooded" and I had to think about it. Nose clips cost buttons.

Regarding prescription goggles, the current Mrs SJ has a different prescription for each eye. I ordered a pair of the correct prescription for each eye and then took a left from one pair and a right from the other to make up a pair that worked for her
