With the 2024 Olympics starting in Paris (& elsewhere francais) if you could be an Olympic standard competitor at any of the 2024 events, what would you choose?

Pole vaulter for me.

Standards Junior#1 went for javelin, his wife gymnast (& definitely nearest of the family who was anywhere near a suitable standard).

Mrs Standards hates sports.

Archery. Always quite enjoyed it recreationally and I'm not terrible at it.

100 metres freestyle.

I used to be quite a keen triathlete and watched loads of coaching videos. So in my imagination I'm an absolutely brilliant swimmer and simply glide through the water. I cant understand why I'm not an Olympic champion already.

100% golf. I would love to play at that standard, plus be able to make a decent living off it as a pro outside of the Olympics.

Probably one of the ones where you just have to be rich to participate.

No one in their right mind would choose Rowing or Swimming.

Tennis probably the most lucrative.
