Climbing - Tasker and Boardman

I read Shining Mountain and Sacred Summits when they first came out and I was thrilled by the stories of the pressure and emotions both Boardman and Tasker experienced. On YouTube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pIyIMqwu0E , I've had Everest exposed, seeing what the pair climbed.

It's worth reading the books, plus the compilation book(s?) if you're interested, even remotely, in climbing. But that video is awe-inspiring for everyone.

I met Joe a party at Al Harris’s in Dinorwic not long before he left for Everest. A great loss from the days when only proper climbers went to the Himalayas.
A very nice, quiet chap.
