Prescription or normal?

I've had plenty of Speedo and they've always been fine, from the bobby basic to the elite racing ones.

Zoogs seems to have a lot of problems with the noses breaking, at least on the Predator range. No idea of that's still an issue.

Speedos are fine. Fit is very important though and they aren't all adjustable. Better to buy them in a shop or at the pool and see if they fit.

Another vote for aqua sphere.

We used them for the kids when learning on the advice of the instructor after poor performance of the usual brands.

Bought my daughter some 'full face' ones. Seal better, and far more comfortable.

This sort of thing.

They were so good I bought some for me, then my OH kept nicking them, so I bought another pair. I wouldn't go back to two piece goggles now.

I have various pairs of Zoggs Predator for swimming both in pools and open water. They are very comfortable and leak free, however now you mention it I have had the nose bridge bit break on a couple of occasions (after a couple of years use so I didn't think much of it).

It was a long running thing in our Triathlon club of them breaking. I think our coach even got blocked by them in Twitter as he kept sending them pictures of them breaking.

I think goggles are a very personal thing, and everyone has their favourites, so until you try them in a pool you won't know.

I find Speedo Biofuse the best for me. They don't leak and don't steam up for quite a while
Arena Envision ones are comfortable, but leak terribly
I tried some Zoggs which didn't leak, but they left bad red marks on my face and really seemed to cut in and hurt after an hour or so in teh pool.

You may find these very different on you face. Unfortunately its a question of trial and error, which can get quite expensive at £20-£30 a time, so once you have found some you like, buy a couple of pairs smile

I used to use Zoggs Predator Flex but when they broke on holiday I got a pair of Arena “The One” and they have been spot on for pool and open water. On my 2nd pair.
I have treated myself to a pair of Magic5 but haven’t had chance to try them yet due to an ear issue.
With goggles you don’t need to spend loads and a lot is personal preference.

What makes good vs bad goggles? I've got a pair of £10 amazon ones and they've done about 100 hours and starting to fog a little. Comfort is fine.

Wouldn't mind spending a bit more but not sure what I'd get for my money.

Dunno tbh. If the £10 pair were comfortable and fitted me well I'd probably go with them. If you swim an hour every day it's only 3 quid every 3 months. I got the Zoggs because others I tried either leaked or were uncomfortable.

I'm not sure really. When I was swimming lots I did have a pair of Speedo Fastskin, they sat close to the face so less drag and looked cool, but still fogged up as much as the cheap ones.

The strap also broke when I was in the process of swimming the length of Coniston which wasn't helpful. Nice lady on the feed boat fixed them for me.
