Decent Shotgun Slip that isn't crazy money
Discussion
I've got a DT11 with 32" barrels and a custom stock so its fairly long so would need to be 140cm plus. I bought the last slip with the gun - some Beretta black thing but a) the zip has died where it bends (pretty sure my previous one had a zip failure so seems to be a week point) but also a hole has worn inside wear the bead of the gun rubs and the bead keeps catching on it when taking it out of the slip.
The hole inside is probably an easyish fix but with it needing a full zip I'd rather just buy a new one. I like the style with a zip (vs the style were you have a flap and buckle at the stock end) as it makes life easier when taking out the gun and putting it back in between stands ( shoot sporting clays so lots of in & out moving between stands) as just unzip a little, pull out stock, break barrels and slide it out. Then again if the zip has been the week part in the past maybe I need to look elsewhere. Interested to hear how others get on with the other style e.g.:

Anyone got a recommendation preferably with a nice shoulder pad on the strap as the Beretta ones are not well padded and easily twist? I was looking up to £150 but not adverse to paying more if something is gonna last a lot longer.
Thanks.

For that sort of money you can get a canvas slip from Croots:

I bought a genuine leather one from ebay, with a YKK zip.
Honestly, it's great.
Can't remember the exact seller, but it was something like this. Now that it's a couple of seasons old and battered, it looks really nice.

This one is from GDK. I have one of their gun cabinets. Reputable company, and this is a long shotgun slip.

Bit late for OP but anyone who wants a well made value for money slip, cartridge bag or pretty much any shooting paraphernalia have a word with Phil Ogden
His 'off the peg' items are very good quality and value.
He picks up the phone himself; will call you if there is a problem and will discuss bespoke creations. Will send items for approval before billing you. Proper old fashioned service.
