Running spikes

Are the actual spikes on cross county spiked shoes a standard thread size? I’m going “all the gear, no idea” this season and looking to buy a range of lengths to suit the level of mud!

Yes, well I mean I've never considered it, but I've never found any that didn't fit. You only really need 8, 12 and 15, if it gets any muddier you're better off just accepting it's much than trying to find grip with longer spikes that will show you down.

It's been a very long time since I needed spikes but they were the same thread whether 6 mm track spikes or 15mm country ones. I even remember when Adidas brought out "special" longer track spikes they claimed didn't damage the surface which were then promptly banned anyway.
So yes same thread in the shoe just longer or shorter.
