Dad’s birthday coming up and he’s a very keen golfer and would like a waterproof golfing jacket for the wet days.

I have never played so not a clue what’s good, what sort of price I should be paying for good quality etc

Budget is probably £150-£200 for myself or I could share with my brother for higher than that if it’s really only worth spending big money on something like this.

No point getting him something that’s not up to the job.

Wow that’s quite some saving.
Irrationally my mind is asking me “why is there so much money off” and am I being a cheapskate not spending £200 on him?

Eg I found this, but assuming I’d be a mug to spend £300 when the one you’ve suggested is just as good I imagine?

Galvin are probably the best, but they pay a fortune in advertising to tell us this so I'm probably swayed.....

I have a Galvin Green jacket. Best buy ever. Windproof / waterproof, breathes. I’ve done 18 holes in torrential rain & came off bone dry.

I'm sure he will be. Looks great.

Remember that expensive new gear is worth 3 shots a round.
