Which running/cycling/swimming watch?
Discussion
My much loved Polar V800 seems to be coming to the end of its useful life. The battery is getting weaker and seems to have only enough juice for three runs or rides. It has gone into a huff and refuses to pair with my new iPhone 12 and with the heart rate sensor to say nothing of the cadence sensor.
I have been considering a Vantage M2: does anyone have experience of this watch for triathlons up to middle distance? The Polar website is a bit quiet on this as well as using it with the heart rate sensor and bike sensors.
I have suffered in the past with a bit of a buy-Polar-syndrome but they have brassed me off deleting the really old pre-GPS stuff from their records. My results now go to Strava so I feel a bit more flexible in my choices.

I have a fenix 3 hr that has been glued to my wrist since 2016. Works great, battery still holds charge and has tracked thousands of rides, swims and runs. It’s been so good I have had no need to update it.
I would recommend a fenix but they are expensive now, keep an eye out for deals !

I have a Garmin Instinct which does everything I need for running and until recently I used it for bike rides up to 7 hours duration. It has navigation (but not mapping) which I find really good. I have used watches with full mapping and I find there is too much on the screen to make it readable.
Cheaper than the Fenix models and a little more robust I think

I think Garmin have the biggest selection / back catalogue, so just depends on your budget which one you want.
As mentioned above - wahoo have fairly recently entered the market, Santo / polar etc are options too.
See the DCRainmaker website - for reviews and comparisons more detailed than you could ever need.

I've had a Garmin 920XT since 2016 - I don't feel properly dressed unless I'm wearing it. Absolutely brilliant piece of kit.Had a look the other day to see how much it'd be to upgrade (to the 945 I think it was) and the bundle price is the best part of 600 quid. For that reason and the fact that the 920 is pretty much faultless, I'll not be upgrading anytime soon!
