It is snowing today in Yanqing, where the skiing is being held.

Thankfully I got the Discovery+ for 1yr free offer with Sky prior to the summer Olympics.

Coverage starts today with curling and luge.

Can we combine the two? put someone on a luge with a big helmet and they're fired down the rink by their teammates to knock stones out of the way?

I'm a big winter sports fan and participant, but am struggling to get enthused by this. Not sure why, combination of things, not helped by being in China, but not solely due to that?
Anyone else feel similar?

Does anyone know how to watch Eurosport in UHD? I have the SkyQ UHD package and upon selecting Eurosport, the red button box appears stating other channels and UHD, but I cannot see a UHD option? Do I need to sign up to Discovery+ to unlock this? frown

12th in the women’s moguls qualifying run for one of the GB ladies. Back on Sunday am for second qualifying to try to get into the top 20 finalists.

Unlikely to podium, but a shot at a top ten finish in moguls at the Winter Olympics is a massive achievement. Moguls is properly hard and I doubt there’s much funding thrown their way.

Why are they calling it the Olympic Winter Games, not the Winter Olympics?

Have they always done that?

I think the funding is much much better than it used to be. UKSport funding for skiing snd boarding is 9.5million for this Olympic cycle, some of that would have got to the mogulers.

I think that's always been the official title. Not sure if they're pushing it more than they used to.

Mixed team biathlon relay was brilliant, really enjoyed that. Have a 7 year old now hooked on curling too…..GB looking good for a place in the semi finals there.

I've only once skied a black mogul run.

It was dark, I'd had a very good lunch and we'd spent the afternoon drinking Gluehvein and schnapps.

I suspect I used up another of my nine lives. I can't have many left.

God the slope style commentators are annoying - guys trying to sound street when they are as on trend as Dunn and Co.

the discovery+ app is not fully functional on my apple tv 4k boxes, fine on the nvidia shield.

yes, the Chinese have sucked the life out of a sporting carnival, hopefully with this one it means it won't need to come back to China for another 25 years.

How do? I’m trying to decide whether to pony up for a month for this.

Was thinking about this silver lining myself only this morning.

Apparently all the snow in the Winter Olympics is manmade. That’s sounds great for the environment.
