England batting against India in the warmup was better than I expected given the poor form some players have had recently. Also a bit surprising to see Ashwin back in the India side.

Can't wait for this aft. 3 months ago I was very confident but the apparent dip in form of most of our big guns and still no Stokes makes me think we're going to struggle to get past the semis. Hopefully our big game players will turn it ob, we've certainly got the firepower to get the job done and if we click I don't think the rest can live with us.

No, not the same at all.

Much as it pains me to say it, I like the look and balance of the Oz side. Huge explosive batting power right down to Stoinis at no 7 plus Smith to anchor the innings if the top 4 don't fire and a very strong bowling unit. SAF need something special from where they are here to have any sort of chance as the track looks decent.

Amazing that Gayle can still bat aged 63. I mean he can’t run or chase and is mostly held together with sticky tape.

Seems odd to me we had so many warm up games and pre tournament matches. Yet we still have two bowlers playing today that haven’t played a T20 in two or more years…
