Hi, hopefully posting this in the right place.

My son has asked for a BB gun for his birthday next month. To shoot targets etc in our garden.

I’ve started looking and I’ve no idea what is a good brand these days and what will break apart after a few hours. There seems to be so many brands out there and some look to be rather cheap and rather nasty.

Are there any good brands of BB gun? I’d rather pay more for something that will last. My local gun shop don’t stock such things and the internet looks to be a minefield for the uninformed.

When I got my first air rifle there were very few brands to choose from, BSA or Gammo (I think) and as long as you got one of them you’d be fine.

Thanks in advance

Plenty of reviews on YouTube. Some are accurate reproductions of real pistols. SIG & GLOCK actually make BB versions, although those tend to be £120+. Not a good idea to wave them around in the street.
Fire plastic or steel balls & some can also fire airgun pellets. Powered by CO2 canister.

Be aware that BBs are steel and tend to ricochet quite a bit (in contrast to soft lead pellets, which are much less prone to it).
