Has a golf meet up of PH people ever been organised?
Some of the Golfbreaks at interesting venues look to be good value and I wondered if there'd be much interest in a PH group getting together?
I played at Marriott St Pierre, Chepstow last year at my golf club's senior section "away stay" and really enjoyed it, so I'd like to do more stuff like that.

If it was in the South West / Wales regions I'd certainly be up for a PH based golf event.
I'd recommend St Mellion in Cornwall or The Vale Resort in Wales - both have excellent hotels on site and both have two courses if you wanted to make it a 36 hole effort. Good value for money too.
Despite reputation to the contrary I'd avoid Celtic Manor. Apart from the 2010 course the others are a bit contrived imo and the hotel's standards of service are appalling these days.

I don't play golf at all, and I'm just passing through on the way to another thread. However I'd chip in that having stayed there countless times over the years when visiting family, Hanbury Manor country club in Hertfordshire has an enormous and impressive looking course, and is a superb luxury hotel in keeping with PH standards
