Is anybody else following the sailing out in NZ, specifically the saga of Ineos and it’s challenger status? The appalling performance in the practice match-ups and turn around during the challenger round robins.

The design and execution effort to go from lousy light wind/barely foiling baseline to now getting her up on her toes properly in all weather conditions is absolutely outstanding. They put Luna to the sword again yesterday and have now clinched themselves the starting spot in the challenger final. Five from five Now I think in the last races.

Ainslie has done some pretty astonishing things in the past but the man must have a turbo charged white rabbit hat to keep pulling this off! Did anybody see the interview last week with skipper of the Yank challenger who looked shell shocked? I think Jimmy Spithill, who is Luna skipper, was alongside him and just smiled shrugged and said he wasn’t shocked - it was Ben Ainslie! Grant Dalton has come out and said he was expecting to face Ainslie all along.

Looks like losing the World Series matches made him angry!
