I paid 350 quid for mine (admittedly I was in the right place at the right time) - it's a second hand Sole F63 (3 years old) and it's brilliant.

The only thing you'd notice over a gym/commercial treadmill is that it doesn't accelerate as quickly - which would be a pain if you want to do a load of interval work, but that's not what I use mine for.

It's got a max speed of 20kmh, max incline of 15° and is sturdy & reliable. Think you can find them for about a grand brand new (list is about 1800 quid).

I would certainly recommend it (with the caveat about the intervals).

How much space do you have at home to house it.

How much do you or did you use one in the gym?

If you want gym spec / there are always Gyms closing down (recently one in Reading they sold kit cheap to offload it look out these deals could save you a fair bit. )
