Club level Judo/MMA etc- dead?

Covid is here to stay and there are numerous strains so like flu we'll see annual spikes - the difference is you can have Covid and not know it.

It's making me think is close contact sports at a club level ever going to restart?

There's talk of a vaccine however when will everyone have it and when will it work against all comers?

I reckon it'll be a year before close contact sports restart at club level. I am more than willing to be proven wrong.

Its already restarting, just not in an official capacity. I know of numerous clubs back training, in a low key manner.

Considering that Sunday league football (where 22 people are involved in a match) and other sports have resumed, it seems odd that other contact sports can't.

Grappling on the ground with another person is about about as close contact as it gets outside of bedroom action, of course.
