I have a badminton court in my garden,
I have a couple of tubes of Yonex Mavis 2000 which i bought after a little research.
I"ve tested them for speed, they are Ok, they land close to opposite base line, but their flight is awful after reaching a certain height they imitate a brick.

Whether this a heat/ humidity problem as Badminton is really an indoor sport, it's around 88 - 92 F and a bit sticky.

In the past I always played in leagues with feathers, but have played a few times with plastic birds in UK. I remember them being quite acceptable

So recommendations please, the standard of players is poor to average, so it's possible a slightly faster bird may be better.

I can afford feathers, that would not be a problem, but I suspect they would not last long !

PS. anyone used feathers outside?

Probably better with feather outside, they are usually a bit heavier and don't blow about in the wind so much.

Indoors, Yonex Mavis 300 (Plastic) are fine. Choose between Blue/Med speed or Red/Fast.

I've stopped buying them. My dog Minton kept eating them.

Bad Minton.

Badminton outdoor is generally a non starter if you want consistent shuttle flight!
