So today, the incredible GP from Silverstone, outstanding Wimbledon final and barely believable cricket world cup final.

Can anyone remember a more amazing day of sport?

I would extend it to best weekend of sport.

On Saturday, Man Utd beat Perth Glory 0-2.

I think people might argue 'super Saturday' in London 2012. Is in with a shout. Personally I'm happier seeing ECB win the world cup over Olympic medals.

Yes, the viewpoint makes a difference.

As a Brit, Super Saturday takes some beating, As an ex-rower, Sydney 2012, and not just for Redgrave's 5th, but the heartbreak of the pair and the triumph of the (under rated by many) VIII. Awesome couple of nights of sport.

It's up there.

We seem to be able to host a good competition. WRT the cricket it's just nice that the action involved an english team.

Wasn’t there a day a few years ago where England beat Australia in cricket, rugby and football?
That was a good one if I can remember it correctly?

Wasn't funny in the Utd thread. It's not funny here.

On topic, yes it's the best I can recall.

Just a shame Federer didn't win.

Just to confuse you even more there's an argument that it should have been 5 not 6

I dont get why it wasn't just 4 or 2 though lol. If you knock a 4 or a 6 you dont get runs aswell it should be one or the other.

Even more confused now I have read that link lol

I’m always pleased when Federer loses. I can’t stand the way the first thing he does after a match is put on that ugly, ostentatious Rolex he’s paid to wear then show it to the camera. hurl

How about Nadal's Richard Mille that gets so much exposure?

I can't say that I have noticed that. Maybe I'm immune to advertising messages.
