So anybody else following The 2018 FIDE World Chess Championship: Carlsen vs Caruana that started this week? Two fascinating young players, utterly superb, and a brutal mind game...
And now with streaming and online working so well there is superb coverage at https://www.chess.com/wcc2018 and loads of info here

Looking forward to how this plays out...

I normally wait for the YouTube commentators to get something up. It's the only way I comprehend what's going on!
Personally I prefer players from previous chess generations like Tal. I find modern games a bit 'computery'
I'm on LiChess username BoingBoingHatstand if you fancy a game!
I think this will be a quiet thread...

So 11 games in and it's 5.5 vs 5.5 - will we see a result in the 12th game or onto blitz tiebreak?
Shall be good watch on Monday

Great to see a chess thread
I don't play now but was quite successful at school as an under 12. I remember playing John Nunn in the London U12 championships (1966 I think), he won that competition and I was 3rd, still got the prize " How to win at Chess"
I just had a look at his web site and he mentions that championship as his first big win. He was a totally different league.
After that I ended up being captain of south London schools, but my desire to play once I went to secondary school just left me.
