Section 1 Shotguns

I've got a slot on my FAC for a Section 1 Semi-auto. I've sold my Section 2 Mossberg 590 pump to my Father, who has upgraded it to a 9+1 to fill the respective slot on his FAC, so I've now got some room in the cabinet that needs filling!
I'm currently looking at a Beretta 1301 Comp 9+1, with a view of picking up some aftermarket chokes to make it a little more versatile for sporting and skeet clays and general rough shooting. I'm not currently looking at doing any practical shooting, but would like the option should I fancy it.
The reviews I've read thus far are pretty good, but note that some struggle to cycle 28gr. Has anybody here used one/own one and have any opinions on them?
I'm not looking at spending much more than 1 ishk, so not looking for recommendations of anything more expensive - I recognise that more money gets me into what is probably a better gun, but it's not going to see more than, say, 1-2k rounds through it a year.
Oh, and if anybody has one in good nick they are looking to part with let me know and we can chat!
