I am off on a ten day ski Powder skiing trip at the beginning of next week....six hours of guiding/instruction most days so it's going to be pretty full on. I've done similar before and know how tiring it is. I've lost 14 kg and got myself in decent shape for it.

I want to take some kind of Energy Bars/Gels with me but haven't used any for years so wondered if there were any people could recommend ?

As an aside I've been using these protein bars https://www.amazon.co.uk/Grenade-Carb-Killa-High-P... which are a) the lowest sugar of any I have found and b) the best tasting. Not what I want for my ski trip though !

The Hike bars from Aldi are pretty nice, and obviously much cheaper than most energy/protein bars.

Try a few out beforehand as some will give you issues.

SIS often do free sample packs. But I use a mix of Gu gels, Powerbar Powergel shots and Wiggle's own brand energy bars. Bang for buck I think the Powergel shots give you the most carbs for weight and taste like normal sweets, but unless you're obsessing over weight (I run long distance - so I do) I'd just look at any sort of flapjack bar that tastes good with some normal sweets mixed in.
