I'm signed up for this in the summer, To do it with a 20KG load too. Just wondering if anyone else has done it before and recommend a decent Bergen for the event? Going to do a reccy soon so may do a lighter weighted treck

Holy thread resurrection.

I've just entered this. Winter edition. Do you do it in the end any tips? Someone in my triathlon club is in the army so I have a few tips from her.

Looking on forums etc seems the advice is to buy a used genuine army issue bergen as they are better than the civilian ones. You can get the new PLCE ones for about £50 and they accept a camellback attachment. The army issue boots seem to get good review but they are expensive. No worse than a pair of running trainers though.

Really looking forward to this. Hope I enjoy it and will want to go back. The half moon and black editions sound mental.
