Sporting Boxing Day.
Discussion
The rugby on BT has been thrilling. Bottom of the table clash yesterday, Bristol v Worcester was a cracker. Two days before the Wasps v Bath was thrilling, with some classic rugby.
Now watching Quinns v Worcs which is more interesting than edge of the seat stuff.
It could warm up in the second quarter, there's just been a bit of a boost to Quinns' play.

It's Glos, Derek. You had too much sherry trifle?
I was typing while watching the first bit. I was struggling to stay awake. But it livened up a bit in the second half, didn't it. Whilst I made a mistake, my embarrassment is somewhat mollified by the number of basic errors being made by both teams. They were three exciting matches. The stands were packed today.XCP said:
Yes, we managed to make a bit of a racket at the Wuss game! To Beat them with 14 men, the boys did well!!
The card generated a lot of discussion in my house, there being two rugby players present. I expected some arguments against the ref's red card but the players were along the line of - 'They know the laws, they know the interpretation, they need to watch what they do.' Yet one was from the tight five and to my recollection had never had two feet off the ground unless in a ruck and scrambling for the ball.Good match, good win, and great to watch.

Another exciting match last night, with Wasps not dominating as, perhaps, expected.
Some brilliant tries.
I recorded it, thinking I'd watch it after my wife had nodded off on the sofa. Getting a bit tired myself, I thought "oh well, it's only Wasps vs Newcastle", I'll just check to see how one-sided Wasps' victory was. Some brilliant tries.
Not only did it look like a close match, it also looked as though it was very nip and tuck the whole way through, so would've been a good suspense thriller to watch as well!
Meanwhile, predictions for the rest of the weekend?
I reckon Wasps will stay top, as I don't see Sarries beating Leicester with a BP at Welford Road.
Gloucester will leapfrog Northampton, leaving the latter in ninth. What on earth is going on there?
Amazingly, Bristol will go into the New Year not on the bottom of the table, largely thanks to all those losing BPs that have helped keep them in touch with Worcester! I reckon Sale was the best possible opponent they could've hoped for off the back of not only winning their first game, but also doing it with only 14 men on the pitch for almost the entire match. They must be absolutely bursting with pride after that, and totally fired up for the second half of the season!
The above does, of course, assume that Quins are going to beat Wuss! In a season where they've been fairly woeful away from home, that's certainly not a foregone conclusion, but surely they've got enough in the tank for this match...

Much as I hope Brizz can climb above Wuss, they will do very well to beat Sale away. But we live in hope. ( we're Bristol supporters after all)
Personally, I'm a Quins supporter with a soft spot for Wuss because I was born there, but I'd like to see Bristol stay up, as much as anything because of the long fight to get back in the Premiership. Then again, as the only club in the North West and North East respectively, I think it's good to have Sale and Newcastle in there, so, err... Glaws vs Saints as the relegation battle?
