I did do a search but couldn't find anything on this. Pretty amazing scenes really although I think most would do the same for their brother.

An interesting post on facebook by Steve Way said that because Ali hadn't done enough of the race series he wasn't going to win the series whatever happened and was only there as domestique to Johnny so was doing his job by helping.
Still a good story, he could have run by to prove a point! adidas must be pleased - good coverage of their shirts!

The Spanish federation complained. But the rules weren't broken explicitly so they were rejected. (Expect the assistance rule to be clarified over the of season) And their man won the title anyway. So overall correct result. And it makes Triathlon look interesting to the wider world.
Schoeman should have celebrated a little less though. Everyone watching knows he won because the leader faulted. That's racing and he deserves the win and the money.
But it makes him look chav

He won because the leader messed up.
Some people have suggested it would have been sporting if the South African hadn't taken the win. How bizarre. It's no different from a motorsports race where your rival runs out of fuel or has a mechanical on the last lap. Tough.

But a little fist pump and a wave to the crowd would be sufficient Think how Gwen celebrates. Classy
The way he was acting you'd have been mistaken for thinking he "executed" the perfect race. Leading out the swim, off the bike then pulling a huge gap on the run. And in the process won the Championship AND Gold.
