The squads for the Bangladesh tour (below). I can't believe they've recalled 39 year old Gareth Batty who last played test cricket 11 years ago.
England Test squad for Bangladesh: Cook (capt), Hameed, Root, Ballance, Moeen, Stokes, Bairstow, Woakes, Rashid, Broad, Anderson, Buttler, Finn, Wood, Batty and Ansari, with Duckett as a 17th player.
One-day squad for Bangladesh: Roy, Duckett, Root, Billings, Buttler (capt), Stokes, Moeen, Woakes, Willey, Rashid, Wood, Bairstow, Dawson, Jordan and Plunkett.

I wonder if they have taken Batty to help the younger spinners? I doubt he will play but as we dont have a spin coach is it the next best thing? Why not take him as a coach or as a member of the back room team? Seems strange to deny someone who may, in time, bring benefit to the team a place. What a belter of a game. Read the beeb commentary here:

And that's the only thing terrestrial about non-Sky coverage. Neither TMS nor highlights, pah!http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/cricket/37487383

I watched the last 10 overs of our innings in the gym. We went from should do it to oh my god we're going to fk this up to Woakes hitting a streaky four to get off the mark, to another lull when the rate got up to 7 then a few sharp boundaries to finish them off. Tense stuff!
It was a great match. I really enjoyed it, especially after the unpleasantness of the second game. Gargamel said:
Morning Sports Fans
So England off and running against Bangladesh
Can someone explain to me what I am missing with Gary Ballance ?
I just don't get it
93/4 - Cook was never going to score here, his head is still in the maternity ward.
I dont get Ballance either. When he first came onto the seen he looked someone who can play some shots but will stick around. Now I just at him as a walking wicket with limited foot movement. Another LBW today. So England off and running against Bangladesh
