Will all the big names compete?

Will Levrone make an impact?

All the confirmed entries are on the site but I think there will be others.

Is anybody going?

The Levrone come back is epic, it has worked well generating a little more interest than normal!
I hope he looks good up there, I hope he places!

Hope big Rammy can get in top condition this year!!

What do you think of the classic physique category?

Have you/anyone ever been?

I went to one back in the day, just the evening show in Brussels

Lee Haney won, it was 1986 (I was 20) I was seriously into it at the time, I did a lot of shows and such.

Nowadays I have a passing interest, I accept the competitors are bigger than ever but there condition is poor compared to Yates/Coleman etc at their peak.

Phil Heath has got worse every year since 2011 (when he was the real deal)

I reckon Levrone will place top six but he didn't win it in his 30's so 20 years later he can't.

Great would love to go to one!

Yep Yates is a favourite of mine, the conditioning was unreal as was the muscle gain he achieved between his 1st and 2nd Olympia!

On Levrone hope he does well top 6 would be a real achievement!! The top 6 is very competitive with 6 and below being anyone's!

Do you think heath will still win?

I would say Phil is favourite.

Perhaps with the threat of Levrone and others he will have to get in better condition and if he does then his genetics put him ahead of all the others (perhaps with the exception of Levrone.

But I can't see past Phil Heath.

I don't like all the other classes at all.

There should be one, and only one Mr (and Miss) O.

The dilution of it, and even more so the womens, has led to countless people entering who in my opinion then go on to be acclaimed as "Olympia competitors" when really they aren't but I am a bit old school.

The Olympia this year is the first one that's got my attention for a while- line up is great, interested to see how Levrone comes in too. Also the classic division should be a good addition- interested to see what the judges are looking for there.

Looking forward to it.

I think Phil will take it, but I also think this will be his last year to retain the crown. Great to see Nathan Deasha representing the UK, don't think he'll do particularly well this year, but one to watch for the future.

Pics out of Levrone- Great front upper body, his back is just not there in my opinion. Actually, not just my opinion. The back is just not present. It's very poor actually but his upper body looks great.

from 6.30 not bad at all for a year back.

He looks great, but not what he was- a bit saggy. He'll look better for the actual contest though, always does. I've got him in the top 10, though the lower half. (he'll likely get there from politics alone!)

Who knows, should be good.

Confining myself to comments on that video (and knowing a lot can happen with tanning, carb loading etc in 24 hours)

Levrone looked OK on his own but was dwarfed by McMillan from the front and back.

It's a fantastic performance by Levrone in isolation but he won't crack the top six looking like that.

I'd add that if this is their condition at the Olympia then BRING BACK DORIAN! They are FAT! Not compared to me, not compared to what most peoples understanding of fat is but Dorian, Ronny Coleman etc displayed vastly superior conditioning to this.

If you look at the end of the video you see a glimpse of Big Rammy. His face is gaunt. He must be diced to the sox

No i don't mean that an it is probably a bit much to say fat but this is the olympia and i'm comparing the guys to competitors of the past.

There condition is not even close to those.

Look at Their lower backs, there is fat there, the top guys didn't have that 20 years ago, they sacrificed size for condition, now the guys are 20 lb heavier but only half that is muscle.

You aren't seeing guys with conditioning anywhere near to Yates, Coleman, Gaspari, Shaun Ray even how Kevin was in the mid 90's.

Phil Heath was in his beast shape in 2011 and has been getting progressively worse.

Perhaps tomorrow will see a different guy show up but for me they are regressing.

Ok I see what you mean. They are About 50lb heavier in most cases. It's the drugs that do it. I dint know enough about it and whilst I'm posting this Dorien Yates was the first GH beast. Markus Ruhl was the modern version and no one wants that anymore.

I would take issue with saying they are 50lbs heavier.

The administrators of the Olympia (the NPC) and all the competitors are notorious for overstating their weight.

It comes about from someone being casually asked how much they weigh and the reply being "280" and from there all the others have to say something similar, it's one upmanship.

There is no weigh in at the Olympia thus we don't know competitors weights, what we do know is that Dorian Yates himself stated that competitors routinely overstated their weight to add bravado and make others think they were too small and once one says it they all do.

The reality is that there won't be any on stage at more than 260/270 lbs and most will be a fair bit less.
