I find that regular shorts are a pain and flap about. I see women with those tight shorts and although I wouldn’t want to show off my package haha, I would like something a little more fitted?

Can someone please give me a tip if such a thing is available for men and which brand/style I can try?

Many thanks

Got a decathlon near you?

Their branded running shorts are pretty good, about mid-thigh length and very light weight.

I've got some Nike running shorts that have a lycra lining inside a regular running short, kinda like cycle shorts (without the pad)

That's what i use, great shorts. All the benefits of lycra but with the looks of normal shorts. Highly recommended.

I run with lycra shorts underneath normal shorts, although in this hot weather I have been going commando. Got to be careful for any bk out moments when doing warm up lunges on the park bench - Get you banned from places that will.

Haha brilliant.

Thanks all.

I was more thinking of something in between lycra and normal running shorts, guess there isn’t such a thing. Lycra is a bit too snug and the shorts are a bit too flappy. I guess I just have to live with it.

Thanks again

I don't get the flappy complaint unless the shorts you have now are too long/big for you?

Ive been using Adiads Climalite ones for years. Nothing special as such. But what made me choose them was they are one of the few shorts out there with zips on the pockets!

What good are no zips if you have, House Keys or a mp3 player or even Gels rolleyes

I use Gore x-running shorts to keep my tiny, tiny penis in check.

Montane VKM shorts are the best summer shorts I've come across (which is good, at an eye watering £40 price tag) although I do find Salomon Agile short tights slightly better for cooler weather. Both have a zipped rear pocket that'll take a (non-smart) phone and key, and gel pockets.

But I've heard good things about Decathlon running and cycling gear, at the price I'd give them a look too.
