Racket? Racquet? No idea...

I bought one about 10 years ago from Amazon, cost me £20, apparently it's not a good one.

With a budget of £100 ish, now I'm taking it seriously and have joined a club, what do I buy and where from?

Really depends on your game. Power, touch, how consistent your hitting is. If you're not that consistent, get a racket with a large sweet spot - open throat. If you're into control and hit consistently, think about a closed throat.

Here's a good guide, and they have a good YouTube channel, reviewing rackets. Ultimately you should really see if you can try a few if possible. I think the Technofibre rackets are very good.
