Forgive me if this is not the right forum but...

It's a great story, isn't it? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3744045/Go...

Really enjoyed the sport last night, that was great entertainment what with the false starts and watching really determined athletes do their stuff. Kenny's finish in that throng showed how competitive his field is.

It's a great feel-good story and love story, as a bloke I feel a bit envious of a guy who wins so thrillingly and then has such a lovely girl gushing all over him - a girl who's as fit as a butcher's dog herself (literally).

Amongst all the mayhem in the world, it's great to see there are some who are having the most amazing time. smile

I will totally agree with you on the track Cycle racing. The whole scene, the technology, the bikes, to the suits and helmets, all very impressive to watch! Plus those two individuals were fantastic on the track. I am a keen cyclist myself, have SO MUCH appreciation for them, plus my support for "Team GB" at the Olympics!

On a personal level however, love is blind, plus it all starts off as some fairytale, all you see is the "beautiful" girl before you who you "want to spend the rest of your days beside". But give it a handful of years..... wink I've yet to come across 2 contently married old people (that's if the marriage actually lasted that long).

Plus it's the media (Daily Mail), you don't think they go out of their way to glamourize their stories?

It's been pretty much all over the media, even the Guardian wink, but the Mail had such could selection of pics imo.

And of course, yes, real life will kick in at some point, but by gum they really are having a great time at the moment. smile
