This morning a few friends on Bookface have shared a 'story' of Gazza 'hitting a new low'. I'm not going to link to it because I'm not sure what to make of this 'news'.

The tabloid newspaper which appears to have papped him (disembarking a minicab with what looks like just a toweling robe loosely hanging on his frail frame) are the same group of individuals who sold stories of him when he was relatively unknown; they documented his climb to fame, including all the ensuing lads night out parties, as well as his marital issues. Here they are now selling (not sure if that's even the right word anymore) the latest chapter in his life.

How is this news? Why is it news?

I'm not sure where I stand between the critics or the sympathisers, but he's a fallen football star who has personal issues; is the media just feeding off easy prey, or are they in some way part of the blame?

Was being discussed in this thread last night http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I think the media should just f@ck off personally. Tired of reading stuff all the time about celebs etc. It's their business, just leave them to it. Shame about Gazza, but he's had the chances and would seem he wishes to follow a different path.
