Hi All,

Decided to dabble in playing some golf to start some new activites.
Went to the driving range and rather enjoyed it.

Looking to take a couple of lessons and then just learn by experience.

My question is can anyone recommend me a half decent set of beginner clubs that will allow me to learn.
I was looking at the following:

and then there is this full selection:

Personally I would have a look online at golf bidder and spend your £200 on a decent set of second hand irons and a putter. Don't worry about woods / driver yet.

I bought a set of ping g2s for £100 and they are immaculate.

Ps welcome to golf, prepare yourself for frustration!

Hi Jamie,

Are the woods and drivers really not all that important, as a noive I just assume that is what you might T off with?
And I just better off concentrating on a good set of irons and a putter.

I'd also go with the second hand set of irons and forget about woods for now. The probability of you hitting a wood cleanly enough for it to go anywhere near where you want is so low as a beginner that even if you own some you shouldn't take them out on the course.
