I'm going Thursday, got a £10 accumulator for four favorites to win. Worth £2500 if they come in.

I went on Tuesday. On the way down on the train I overheard an older bloke telling the person opposite that he had a good tip "direct from the yard" and it would pay for his girlfriend's flight over from San Francisco. The lady friend had come over just for the Festival. My ears pricked up at this but unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the horse (!) - I just knew it was a Jonjo O'Neil horse. He had 3 runners and so I backed them all to a greater or lesser degree depending on what I thought of their prospects. First two made nothing and so I decided it must be the third one - backed it £10 each way on the tote and won £114. Only winner all day - bought some Jo Malone for the wife and everyone's happy.

I imagine if the man on the train stuck £100 to win he would have more than covered the airfare.

Jealous. Very jealous! Are you there today? Can't look past Ruby Walsh in the first. Decent value at 7/1 too..

Im almost there! I live just over that hill.
Unfortunately working today, but the footfall through the village is great.

Im on Barters Hill today. Great form, and tipped from a friend/work colleague who is family friend of Pauling.

They were giving away pepperarmi's on the way out yesterday to all the pissheads. Most of which were being thrown about, lots on top of busses, cars and at people. Some clown kicked the door mirror off a taxi, the Feds got him though.

I've taken a punt on Barters Hill, had nothing but losers today so hopefully it turns it around for me!

Unlucky those of you on Barters Hill, a work colleague stuck £1000 to win on it on the basis that another colleague's father owns several horses trained by Pauling and my colleague had been talking it up - he won't be happy come Monday when I see him.

I was there on Wednesday with work, either we are entertaining or being entertained at the festival every year.

This year was a good one for me, £850 up on the week, especially as three short odds doubles and a triple came off on Thursday. So many favourites winning, so must have been bad for the bookies. I also had Blaklion, at 12/1 and stuck £20 to win on it. One guy I was there with put £600 on it to win - different league.

However, our work betting syndicate succeeded with a seven time accumulator over the first three days with Vautour, Thistlecrack and Limini rounding it off yesterday, it will be interesting to see what our modest £10 stake won, even though all the horses were very short odds.
