Has anyone else recently become a Newcastle fan purely based on watched a really fat middle age man completely boss a game of professional rugby union.

Also heard he told off Richards for making him play 80 mins saying he didn't sign up for that sort of thing and demanded beer after the match.

Love watching the Goode, doing it for us old fatties.

Blimey Newcastle must be poor then! We watched him play at Brive at the end of his career when he stamped on someone from Leinster,bod was not happy with him and got a yellow for it.
He had been good at some point,long time ago.

I thought it was him I saw briefly on a TV the other day. Looked utterly bizarre. He's got a couple of years on me, although I think he looks like he's a decade older, so I guess there's still hope.

He's having the time of his life, apparently.
He's playing pretty well, the supporters have really taken to him and he seems to be enjoying the autumn of his career.
Good on you, big lad.

We were on the same table at a wedding in the summer and "in the flesh" he looks fit.

If you watch that video there is a few shots of him walking back to restart the game. He doesn't look a bit on the fuller side.
