Hi, looking for quick bit of advice.

I bought my OH a hospitality package for this match with a friend, and was wondering what the dress code might be.

As its an 8.05pm kick off in February, its likely to be very cold.

There is a sit down meal etc, but does this mean smart attire, shirt and trousers, or is it a case of wrapping up in the right gear for a winters night?

Thanks

To be honest, wear want you will be comfortable in.
In my experience though, most gents will be in trousers, casual shirt and jumper.

I went to an RFU do, normally a bit more formal, pre match last February. The norm was shirt and tie, but with layers that were removed for the meal. I had no tie but hardly stood out. I also had thermals - vest and long johns - and a woollen shirt.

Keep an eye open on the weather forecast but I think it fair to say that if it is likely to be cold, sartorial elegance will be secondary to comfort.

I'm trying to think of the last time I went to a rugby match and was too hot.

Nice present.

wavey Hi Derek, hope all's well with you.

He got a call yesterday from the company organising the hospitality and they said more or less the same. Smart casual, no torn jeans or trainers.

He is so looking forward to this, though the price of hotels in Cardiff is ridiculous.

Hi, Dianne, thanks for asking. Things looking good for me. Writing's going well. I've got a new book on the list, a new contract writing about car mechanics so little research, and a persistent back ache, my constant companion for five or six years, has been 'cured' by a new doctor. Youngest daughter married last year, so just the younger son to go now.

I'm still interested in women's bits. My rugby team's not doing so well, but there's always next season. My son had concussion and has only played 3 matches this season. He's given up on the captaincy as he's likely to be out until next.

With your car (wow!) no need to ask about how things are going in business for you. Everything else OK?
