To those of a certain age, before we were fed sports 24 hrs a day, every once in a while the Harlem Globetrotters would appear on the television.
I used to sit in amazement watching them, a simpler time no doubt, but to me they were fantastic. RIP

I was very sad to hear this earlier. He was probably the best player never to play in the NBA and was definitely good enough to have done so. I got taken to see the Globetrotters as a boy in the 70's and he was mesmerizing.

Yup, same here, him and Curly Neal were the most famous of the Globetrotters and were amazing to watch live. My parents took me to see them at the Empire Pool Wembley several times when they used to come over to the UK back in the early/mid 1970's during their world tours.

Yup same here..........never forget the theme tune either.

I saw him and the rest play at Wembley arena when I was a kid. I was totally captivated. A sad loss.
