Marlin Fishing - Mauritious
Discussion
As a lad, my parents kindly took us to Mauritius for a wonderful holiday.
I used to love watching the boats come back in and going to see what had been caught.
I always wanted to go marlin fishing, but dad wouldn't take me (wasn't really his cup of tea).
There's a likely chance I'm going to be in Mauritius for a couple of weeks in January which I understand to be smack bang in the middle of marlin season so I'd like to charter a boat to go and try to catch one!
Has anyone here been marlin fishing in Mauritius and could recommend a charter boat/captain? Or am I just as well finding a charter boat on the web somewhere?
Thank you
(Mods: if we have a fishing sub-forum, please move!)

Don't know about Mauritius (that was about as much use as a handbrake on a canoe), but if you are still based in Indo, a short hop over to Pahang (east side of West Malaysia) and there is actually a lot of good marlin game fishing (Marlin, Dorado etc) for another time.
Just dont go as far north as Terrenganu - Its a dry state, so hard to get beers to celebrate your Hemmingway'esque catch
