Ladies and Gentleman your predictions please
Tournament Winners
Highest scoring Batsman (one innings)
Tournament Batsman - Total Scores
Mostest Wicket takingest Bowler - Overall
I will have
Australia
Chris Gayle
Ian Bell
Mitch Johnson
Tournament winners - Australia.
Highest scoring batsman (innings) - Warner.
Most runs - Amla.
Most wickets - Steyn.
I think the 4 semi finalists will be Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and England.
I know India are the current champions (and Sri Lanka were losing finalists last time round and the time before) but their pace bowlers are piss poor and finger spinners never do well in that part of the world.

I'll be at the New Zealand v England game here in Wellington. Should be good, never been to watch a cricket match (sort of been at one whilst working in a corporate box the other day though). Got to admit, watching it doesn't do much for me. Loved playing as a kid, but I don't have the patience to sit there for 8 hours!

Anyone seen the final England squad, is Stokes even in the squad?
No Stokes and he hit 15 or 16 6s the other day playing for the Lions vs SA A so is obviously in decent touch. The only way he could be brought in now is if someone was injured. The squad is:
Eoin Morgan (captain), Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler (Wicketkeeper), Steven Finn, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Joe Root, James Taylor, James Tredwell, Chris Woakes
So I assume they will line up something like:
Bell
Ali
Taylor
Root
Morgan
Buttler
Bopara
Woakes/Jordan
Broad
Anderson
Finn
Good old Morgan, taking over the mantle of Captain like a natural. It is like Cook never left!
Maybe he knows that to be kept on as England Captain you have to completely and permanently forget how to bat. Made a schoolboy error with his 130 odd in the Tri Series but one of the old codgers on the selectors committee must have reprimanded him for being too effective.
Mind you, its not the first time Morgan has completely lost it with the bat. Was it 2013 when he spent a good 8 months squatting down on his arse just before each ball was bowled? That went well too.
Or maybe the blackmailers did get to hum after all - you know, unless you totally fk it up we will publish the compromising pictures of you with Kangaroo and the Dingo or whatever that have on him.
Kick off with Australia will be interesting though. I still have a faint and pathetic hope that the team will find its form just in time. The individual talent is certainly there but I'm pretty sure the team spirit and collective confidence is still AWOL.

I saw Morgan's wicket against Pakistan. Shocking choice of shot. Did he think he think he was helping them with their catching practice. Bopara set to be axed, replaced by Gary Ballance.
I like Bopara and think he would have had a much better limited overs career had he not been in and out the side like he's been (and not been moved up and down the order a lot) however this is probably a sensible move. I suppose the only downside is if one of England's bowlers breaks down or gets hit out of the attack there is only Joe Root who could be the 6th bowler.

Well I'm enjoying this so far. BBC web site is putting on live commentary of some blokes down under commentating. So when they go for a break they still broadcast their pithy comments. Could be rather amusing. They have already dissed the announcements and have wondered if they can talk over the national anthems. After a few tinnies it could get quite outrageous.
They just said
"That Geoff Boycott is not as good as think he is "
