With exhaustion........smile

a) Walk

b) Swim...any stroke you prefer......(In lengths of an average swimming baths)

c) Run..(at a slow jogging pace)

There would be no time limit whatsoever........

A). About 40 miles or so I reckon.

B). A pitiful amount - 20-30 lengths

C). 20-25 miles I think my body (muscles) would give up before exhaustion

Did 100 km walk for charity last year in just over 23 hours. Had no more than 10 minutes rest at each stop every 25 k. Was shattered at the end, but surprisingly ok after a super hot long shower

Never again mind you!

a) I reckon I could do 24 hours. Not distance I know - bus I guess as much as Fas1975 did.

b) I started training for fitness earlier this year and 80 lengths was easy enough. That's 2km. I reckon I could swim 10k without much problem.

c) My knees start to hurt a bit these days. A 10k run is about my limit.

Walk:I do a fair bit of walking so I can actually go quite far without realising it. I think the longest was about 18 or 19 miles with a mate along the Norfolk Coastal Path from Hunstanton to Wells. We got the bus back!

Swim: When I was 14 I did a charity swim and managed to do 30 lenghts of a 50 metre pool. So about 1.5km. I had to be helped out of the swimming pool afterwards though.frown

Run: I've run a few half marathons and I did a couple of 15 milers when helping friends prepare for the London Marathon.Never fancied a full marathon though.smile

A: I've done 26 miles in a working day when I was a porter so I reckon even now I could do at least double before sleep was required.

B: Probably 5 miles but it would take me a while.

C: I reckon I could force myself through a marathon distance. It wouldn't be pretty and I'd certainly throw up but I'm sure I could do it.

A - I'm being lazy and not joining the Mrs on a 20 mile walk in a couple of weeks, but 20-30 miles should be easily doable

B - Not done much swimming in ages, but providing there's no current you can float and only put minimal energy in, so proper swimming at any speed probably a dozen lengths, slow speed several hours worth I'd have thought

C - Longest I've done is 10k and I was knackered at that, at the moment I reckon I could do half marathon distance but need to walk some of it, so just running probably 12-15km.

Walk 50 miles should be ok if I took it steady over a day.

Swim 100 lengths breast stroke

I'm no runner so maybe 5km but it would be slow.

a) Walk (Until I fell asleep - 30 hours at 3mph (we all like to think we can walk at 4mph, but to sustain it for hours would be tough)

b) Swim..500m

c) About 50 miles (done a number of marathons and would just set out a little slower) I know how to fuel and can eat whilst I run)

I guess if I was just out a walk and wanted to stop when I got tired/exhausted - probably 50-60 miles

That being said, if someone offered me £1,000,000 to walk 150 miles non-stop, I'm pretty sure I'd do more than 60 miles before I collapsed with exhaustion

Walk - No Idea. Not really a big fan of walking. i did 10 mile hike when I was at school and I know I didn't enjoy it then!
Swim - Always been a strong swimmer. Done 6 miles in a swimathon once and I thinnk I have 10 miles in me. I can do three miles with next to no training.
Run - Not a runner. I've done a half marathon and may do a marathon one day, but no further.

b) Swim - Not a swimmer, 100 meters.

c) Run - 100m (I have done multiple marathons on a single day and multi-day events).

a) - could probably walk all day (around 9hrs) if needed. I reckon I'd walk around 30 miles. I wouldn't collapse from exhaustion, at the moment my knees, groin or ankles would force me to stop I think .

b) - I reckon I'd be utterly ruined after 50 lengths of a 25m. I can only really do front crawl so my shoulders and arms tend to cramp or spasm, and thats me done.

c) - With slow pacing (~ 10min/miles) and some fuel stops I reckon I could probably do a marathon and a half (call it a nice round 40 miles). Again, I reckon an injury somewhere from the waist down would probably call time before I was exhausted.
