Wow, just read this in the boxing thread and thought that it really deserved a thread of its own.

Apologies for the link to the Mirror but I needed a link to believe it and so might you. Fair play though, to go through the procedure at any age followed by the inevitable hassle and pain he will now go through must be difficult. But to do it having been a figure in the public eye and in your sixties ramps the whole process up several notches.

absolutely - I was talking about this with SWMBO and said that at his age (and his public profile) that takes some courage (was going to say 'balls' which under the circumstances would have been inappropriate)
