Just wondered....scratchchin

When I played quite a few years ago....biggrin, nearly all rugby shoes were either high cut or medium cut at the back with a fairly hard toe.

Now they seem to be more like football boots, lowish with a softish toe, but some are still hard.

Are soft toe rugby boots now taking over, or does in depend what position you play on the pitch, as to your choice?

Cheers,

WR.

Depends which type of rugby you're talking about.

Didnt props tend to use hard toes? Its nearly impossible to kick well with a hard toe, so you'll never see back row/backs wearing them.

you used to see front 5 wearing high top boots with more ankle support.

can't remember the last time I saw someone wear them, maybe 15 years ago?
