Discussion
Just one observation to make.
I overheard two blokes sitting in front of me in the grandstand discussing why is it that the American golfers always have to spit, they particularly mentioned Zach Johnson 'gobbing' on the tee in front of us--I hadn't seen this as only just arrived at the grandstand.
But it did remind me, I seem to remember the much lauded 'Tiger' was a veritable waterer of the course. Also many others, usually our USA cousins.

A number of the Americans chew tobacco resulting in the excess spitting. Not pleasant but taken as normal over there.I overheard two blokes sitting in front of me in the grandstand discussing why is it that the American golfers always have to spit, they particularly mentioned Zach Johnson 'gobbing' on the tee in front of us--I hadn't seen this as only just arrived at the grandstand.

I've got a few quid each way on Tiger just because the odds were so good and they pay out up to 7th place i'm thinking although he probably won't win it he could probably get joint 5th, 6th or 7th.
The weather is almost too good over here a few days ago there was a decent breeze blowing off the sea today nothing.

Wind well up tomorrow

Will favour the early starters today, it is already getting up.
It will also dry out the course a lot in a short time, so we will have a not to fast course in the morning to early afternoon but with big winds, in the later afternoon winds dying down but everything getting a lot faster.
So it favours the early starters but not by that much. Whoever ends up well tomorrow will have their eye in and be good for the weekend.
I'm not a massive golfing know all, would they water the course and greens overnight yet? Everything is very green still though.
Thanks

Fabulous golfing weather today and some lovely golf.
Slightly off topic but why do the male pros not wear shorts in this hot weather? The female pros do as do most of the caddies. Is it an old rule?
Its definitely a rule. Flapping pants legs in the wind are not good and also extra weight to carry around,Slightly off topic but why do the male pros not wear shorts in this hot weather? The female pros do as do most of the caddies. Is it an old rule?
If Adrian Newey designed RedBull golf trousers they would be the best, and also point which way to putt.
Getting tasty now with the young guys up there, Ricky Fowler, or Captain Ricky Fowler doing well
And Rory also.
For the old timers Tom Watson, sometimes it is embarrassing with these old guys out on the course, but not Tom, he must think he is 35. Incredible.
Back to the young guys. If Sergio Garcia wins I will invite him back for a chicken dinner at my villa in Gibraltar. Go on Sergio!
