F1 Silverstone QP
Ladies tennis final
Tour De France
World cup

All free

We know we give them a hard time, but that is pretty impressive.

Wife has said, "you've been on it for hours" ... yeah, and it's only approaching 3pm

Easy to be harsh on these folks, but as a sports mad person I have only one thing to say

bow

Very true, I generally don't watch most of the crap that's on the TV but the recent sports coverage has meant for the first time in a while, I now have an impression of my arse on the sofa.

Isn't Wimbledon and the World Cup classed as "national events" so have to be shown on free to air?

Pretty sure that's what I was told when I worked for sky.

Indeed, I am just saying, as a general sports fan, all the stars have aligned this Saturday.

Luckily my family went out to Chessington hours back.

So true. Spent far too long today watching the British GP and Le Tour. Excellent TV.

Everything was great except Tour de France. I'd rather jump off a bridge than watch a bunch of drug takers pedalling a bike. The sport has lost
all credibility since Armstrong, Contador etc were exposed.

Since? You missed a decade. An entire generation were boosted. In reality it probably did mean a level playing field still. Now is a different generation (largely) and so far looks to be reasonably clean.

Just tried to watch TDF first day 1hr highlights on ITVPLayer.

What a load of drivel!!

About 20-30 minutes of cycling footage padded out with adverts (4 lots), inane drivel, logo's and assorted other dross.

The experience was so bad I won't watch the second day.

I accept that live it would have been better as they can't speed it up.

I was switching between ITV and Eurosport. That meant I could avoid most of the ad breaks as they take ads at different times.

It was the imagery that was great - not so much the commentating.
