Anyone been to a San Francisco 49ers game?
Discussion
Just after a bit of advice. I'm going to San Fran in October, luckily on the Sunday whilst we're there, the 49ers are at home, so we're definitely going to watch the game.
Looking at tickets, there is lots of places to sit. Is it like English in that certain parts of the ground will be more lively etc?

No experience of San Fran particularly but the pre-game (tailgating) is where most of the lively stuff happens at most Football games. So get there early for that. Looking at tickets, there is lots of places to sit. Is it like English in that certain parts of the ground will be more lively etc?
I'll let others comment if there are specific sections to sit in, but if it were me and you want to watch the game then somewhere on the sides, halfway up would be my preference (most likely the expensive seats though).
Not been to see the 49ers but I went to see the Bears when I went to Chicago. Most of the ground was of a muchness and it was basically a home crowd with virtually no away fans. Atmosphere was pretty good, a lot of people had mini tvs watching the game live so they could see the close up action at the line of scrimmage, replays etc. Was a good experience but not really like football.

Not a hell of a lot of choice - vs Chiefs - could be a good game.
