Hi all.

I am going on stag do at a local greyhound racing track (Crayford) tomorrow and wondered what your thoughts were about dog racing. Is it fixed or can you genuinely look at the form etc and have a good guess who might win.

Cheers all

Study the form, speak to the trainers, get a tip, then watch as your dog gets wiped out on the first bend!

Best off getting Getting leathered and hoping for the best.

Decide the maximum you want to lose, split that between no. of races. If you win class it as a bonus smile

I went to Crayford in 2012 - it isnt cheap to eat or drink there!

Was an enjoyable night, didnt win a penny hehe Form largely has little to do with it. Before I went studied form, watched videos of the dogs in action at Crayford and none of them won. It is all about the first bend.

I actually won £400 on a dog in 2012 - Blonde Snapper - won the English Greyhound Derby at Wimbledon. I had £10 on it to win the whole event at 40/1. In the final it got hit at the first bend (it was the 6th favourite in the final, out of 6!) but the other dogs ended being hindered, so it came out first after the bend and went on to win. I was a very happy boy.

Decide what you can lose, have fun. The races are over in 25-40 seconds usually.

As a side note, I also own a retired Greyhound. They make amazing pets.

Also they walk the dogs around a bit before the race, if you notice one have a dump get your money on that fella - Less weight always worked for me lol

Seriously, whats wrong with that?!?

I turned 33 this year and I have been to over 10 stag dos over the last 8 years and the modern stag do in my opinion is getting a bit out of hand cost wise.

Greyhound racing can be fun and cheap for everyone. Some people turn stag dos into epic events costing hundreds of pounds.

From what I've seen of Hen Dos, they tend to be a bit more low key.

Sorry, but you touched a nerve there.

I don't believe that that greyhound racing is rigged.

As a side note, I own an ex racing greyhound called Herbie.
