So, the T20 world cup is back. Will the West Indies be able to defend their trophy, they've won the recent T20 series against England.

England are without Joe Root, who has been ruled out with a broken thumb.

First game is with hosts Bangladesh facing the Afghans

Also in this T20 tournament, Honk Kong, UAE & Nepal will be taking part.

Lets see if the Sri Lankans lose FIVE finals in a row! (07 world cup, 09 T20 world cup, 2011 world cup and 2012 T20 world cup)

Probably because he doesn't want to have to play against NZ

Are we going to get flashing stumps & bails when the bowlers hit the timbers ?

The warm up game I'm watching would suggest this.

Warm up games have had the flashing stumps but the qualifying games haven't. So I assume they won't be used when the tournament properly starts.

I don't think WI will be able to defend their title. Their batting hasn't been great of late (Gayle's form and fitness has been iffy and no Pollard due to injury).

If I had to pick the semi finalists (don't know if this is even possible due to teams being in the same group etc) but it would be Pakistan, New Zealand, Australia and Sri Lanka. The two asian sides here are always there and thereabouts at these tournaments and Australia and NZ are in great form just now.

India will struggle because of their pathetic bowling imo, don't have high hopes for England and South Africa lack a quality spinner (still not sure about Tahir).

Stuck at home with bad back hence keeping an eye on these associate games. Why doesn't Ryan Ten Doeschate play for Netherlands anymore?

You'd think World T20 would hold more attraction than working through a damp sleepy contract for Otago.

Holland did well today - chased down 193 in 13.5 overs against a very good Irish side and in doing so Holland make the main draw.

Looks like India are set for an easy win here too - Pakistan just didn't score enough.

Just watched quick highlights of the Dutch chase, sixes galore! It was like something out of stick cricket, 189 was a very good score by Ireland, and basically Holland laughed at it and flipping had a practice session!

Still think that Ireland are a good side, like to see them play ODI series's against the bigger teams in the future, beats watching Bangladesh...

Are the Saffers going to choke again?

I also predict that Dernbach will be the first bowler in T20 to go for 100 runs in a game and England will be stuffed.
