I've been looking at these. Hard to assess quality on a laptop screen though.

Only five minutes from me... may pop in to their show room.Loads on that site. Seem to have everything from budget to 10s of thousands.
We have an Everest 8ft table in the bar ... very good and plays 4 tournaments a week!
Not sure what they cost in the UK, but ours is "local assembly" and costs about GBP1,200
Otherwise a Brundswick is supposedly the rolls Royce of tables.
I suspect that they will probably be many times more expensive in the UK .
Question - American or British (different pockets and bumpers), billiards or pool.
eta here ya go http://www.homeleisuredirect.com/pool_tables/bruns...

You need to get a Supreme. They are used at all major championships including the worlds. They do a few differing styles. You can buy them after a championship with a decent discount when they've had a few days of pros playing on them.
I looked at loads and ended up getting a slightly customised supreme 7ft, the best value and quality I could find and if you hunt about and negotiate you'll pick one up for under £650 with custom cloth.
Sorry to resurrect this old topic: looks closest to my question!
which is.....anyone here got a "revolver" pool table - 7', swivels to become air hockey and also has a 'small' table tennis top - available in a few places, essentially http://mightymast.com/product_details.php?p_id=304
We are considering one for a sunroom...like the flexibility for kids when there are parties, but mostly would be pool. I'm not convinced the cloth has any nap - looking at the close-up, it looks more like some weave material.
& I am wondering if anyone knows what it is like to play on, if anyone has one!
thx

Aye...but the table needs to be "easily" movable, so I'm after a fair quality folding one.....hence wondering what these are like!
They're ste! Unless you don't mind the table sagging every time you put your hand on to play a shot or the heat of the sun in your sun room warping the wood.
You need a slate bed and none of the convertible, lightweight ones have that.
As others have said, a Supreme Winner is the archetypal pub table but for home use Monarch are also v good - look on ebay, gumtree etc and use the money you save vs new to get a pro to collect and install it

Okay...I get the desire for a decent, proper table....but sadly that won't find its way into the room......
Now maybe we won't bother with any at all.....or maybe someone here may have tried these and be able to tell me whether they are usable!
I know the old wobbly legged folding tables were shocking, but these ones look a little more substantial
The sunroom will have solar lantern roof - it is not a full-on conservatory (that got pulled down last week!), so we are expecting the temperature to be much more moderate.
thx!
