Looking to treat the wife to a GPS watch, she's getting into running and has been using a Fitbit which has really motivated her, I am thinking of getting her a Garmin (one they come in pink a surefire winner with her) and two GarminConnect is hard to beat for ease of use..

- this was the the watch I was planning to buy her - https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/sports/running/for...

Any other options I should consider?

The FR10 is a decent entry level watch with the usual data fields of pace, distance, time, calories. My other half has one in green which I take with me to each and every race as a backup GPS watch in case mine chooses to have performance anxiety that morning.

I bought my girlfriend a FR10 and I have a 910Xt (for triathlons). For just running you can't beat the FR10. The only thing I would say it is lacking, that I would use personally, is a fully configurable mode for interval training. Depends how important that is to you I guess.

I did have a quick look at other brands when buying these, but didnt see anything better than the Garmins.
